The great tan of Seravezza
On 9 August of each year in Seravezza the great tan is made that consists
in the lighting of large piles of wood inside the river of the city of Seravezza.
The great tan is the first event to celebrate the patron saint of Seravezza San Lorenzo that
it is celebrated on August 10th.
However, even the evening of 9 August is full of initiatives, in addition to the tan, the ”Stunned on the
river” will take place where you can taste the typical dishes of the area and the solemn procession
followed by fishing for charity.

Feast of San Lorenzo – the day after the tan
On 10 August there will be the real party in honor of San Lorenzo in which the small town of Seravezza
prepares for the most anticipated party of the year.
Throughout the day there will be the fair with banquets from all over Italy and the evening continues with
the “Stunned on the river” the charity bingo, fireworks, which make children fall in love, and
several concerts to entertain the public throughout the evening.
