Majestic, imposing branches reaching to the sky with deep roots that take over the earth, such are the Cedars of Pietrasanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cedar cultivation in Tuscany <\/a>is not widespread and is mainly located in the milder coastal areas or within gardens, villas and parks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ninety percent of production comes from Calabria, while Tuscany boasts a unique and excellent variety<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monumental Cedar Map Tuscany : Montignoso Cedar<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Montignoso Cedar are found in the Capanne area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a few kilometers from Massa they not only represent nature but are also part of the town, like the unmistakable giant slhouettes of Versilia and the Apuan Coast<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to be dazzled by special effects you can admire the Bicolor Cedars of Lucca at Villa Reale<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are planning a trip to Tuscany and haven't yet visited the many Tuscan gardens, I recommend a stroll through the park of Villa Reale in Marlia just a few kilometers from Lucca<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you know the secret of the color cedars? The historic graft<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are the result of a graft of two varieties : a robust Cedar of Lebanon with dark green foliage and the Cedar of Atlas famous<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and distinctive for its needles with blue and silver hues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nineteenth-century gardeners performed this graft while working at the Vills during the Napoleone era, achieving a \"half-and-half\" result with excellent color contrast and reflections depending on how the sun hits them<\/p>\n\n\n\n
