The Labor Museum is located in Seravezza inside the Medici Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum describes how many of the most important works in the area were carried out<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in the years of the domination of the Medici family, with rudimentary and technical tools<\/p>\n\n\n\n

very dangerous, especially as regards the workers of the quarries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum is located on the second floor of the building and is divided into 11 rooms each<\/p>\n\n\n\n

dedicated to a different theme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st room is dedicated to the territory<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd room is dedicated to work in the vineyard and in the cellar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd room is dedicated to agriculture in the mountains<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th room is dedicated to the house<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5th room is dedicated to the customs and traditions of Versilia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6th room is dedicated to agriculture in the Versilian plain<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7th room is dedicated to the old art of weaving<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8th room is dedicated to the excavation of marble<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9th room is dedicated to marble processing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10th room is dedicated to sculpture<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11th room is dedicated to extraction in mines and ironworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workshops and activities are also organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also possible to book guided tours with up to 50 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n

Palazzo Mediceo - Museum of Labor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Medici Palace was built by Cosimo I of the Medici family as<\/p>\n\n\n\n

summer residence villa for the Medici family and as a home during checkups<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to the large quarries owned by the Medici family who then transported the materials to the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

their city: Florence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the labor museum, the Medici Palace houses the municipal library, the historical archive and is the seat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of important modern and contemporary exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
