The regional natural park of the Apuan Alps is a jewel of Versilia where you can find<\/p>\n\n\n\n

shelter from the sultry summer days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It crosses different areas of the Tuscan territory: the Garfagnana, in the internal area of \u200b\u200bthe Apuan Alps;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the area of \u200b\u200bMassa Carrara where there are the most famous marble quarries in the world;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the territory of Versilia which includes the maritime side of the marvelous Apuan Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012 it became part of the UNESCO World Geoparks network and in 2020 it was<\/p>\n\n\n\n

started a petition to make it a national park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the regional natural park of the Apuan Alps there are many animal and plant species<\/p>\n\n\n\n

also rare as the alpine newt.<\/p>\n\n\n

Activities regional natural park of the Apuan Alps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The activities to be carried out are many, the territory has many karst phenomena<\/p>\n\n\n\n

such as the magnificent wind cave and Corchia cave which can be visited by appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many routes that cross the entire park with all levels of difficulty, it is emphasized<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the via ferrata route which is the oldest path in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also possible to try climbing to get to the peaks of the Apuan Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Historical heritage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The historical heritage of the park of the Apuan Alps is immense, the territory<\/p>\n\n\n\n

it has always been inhabited but the greatest historical references date back to the Second World War,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in the territory of the park stood the Gothic line that divided Italy in two, to the south there was Italy <\/p>\n\n\n\n

liberated to the north the Germans were always present, painful and bloody battles took place and the <\/p>\n\n\n\n

signs are still well visible in the territory, we find numerous bunkers both of German origin and of the <\/p>\n\n\n\n

partisans who made part of the Versilian resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the war, monuments that recall the atrocities committed arose everywhere in the territories involved<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
