The Malaspina Castle in Massa is our first stop, overlooking the city from above<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malaspina Castle of Fosdinovo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another historic home of the Malaspina family, this castle is one of the most beautiful in all of Tuscany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The architecture is typical medieval with four circular towers set in the large walls where the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the castle there is a very particular room, it is said that the Marchesa Cristina Pallavicini was<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a very bad, greedy and lustful woman who had many lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is said that in his room he had a trapdoor full of blades designed that ended directly in the canals<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another legend is that of poor Bianca Malaspina, Bianca was destined to be married to a gentleman<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malaspina castle of monti - castles of Lunigiana<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The castle dominates the Taverone valley to control the communication routes with the Apennines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
