Isola Santa is a village located between Versilia and Garfagnana, a paradise<\/p>\n\n\n\n

naturalistic that is worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The town stands on an artificial lake with green waters where it is possible to swim<\/p>\n\n\n\n

surrounded by dense forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the village there are some taverns where you can taste excellent typical dishes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The town is very old and was once used as a stopover for travelers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

they crossed the Apuan Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The village with its characteristic slate roofs and stone houses is one of the most beautiful villages<\/p>\n\n\n\n

beautiful of Italy where tranquility reigns supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lake is of artificial origin formed following the construction of a dam which he modified<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to discover the surrounding places, we recommend that you take CAI 145 route<\/p>\n\n\n\n

allows you to reach all the great peaks of the Apuan Alps including the Pania Croce, the great one<\/p>\n\n\n\n

mountain that oversees the whole of Versilia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appropriate clothing and physical preparation are required for the route, the stretch is very steep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is recommended that in the whole area it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to throw waste on the ground or in the lake and during periods<\/p>\n\n\n\n

there is an absolute PROHIBITION of LIGHTING BURNERS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The neighboring area is very karst so we find many caves and underground faults,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

along the path that runs alongside Isola Santa you will be able to observe the results of karst phenomena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isola Santa can be reached starting from Seravezza (not far from Pietrasanta) e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

along the \"linea d\u2019Arni\" road that crosses the mountains with a breathtaking view<\/p>\n\n\n\n

over the whole of Versilia<\/p>\n\n\n
