The Pinewood<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Versiliana pine forest is the real lung of Pietrasanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has an area of \u200b\u200b800,000 square meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is located right in the street adjacent to the B&B Miami Beach just<\/p>\n\n\n\n

two minutes by bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pine forest is teeming with living species, from plants to animals with a wide variety of butterflies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the area that runs along Viale Apua, tables are available for enjoying a fantastic picnic<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The pine forest represents a fragment of the original ancient forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first safeguard interventions date back to the 300 '.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 19th century, many nobles began to build their beloved summer residences, among which we<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The risk of destruction - pine forest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the night between 4 and 5 March a strong wind hit the whole Versilia with gusts of<\/p>\n\n\n\n

wind that exceeded 200 km \/ h causing a lot of damage throughout the territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Versiliana, our green lung, was hit the hardest, the trees felled<\/p>\n\n\n\n

from the wind they were innumerable and since that day the pine forest has changed its face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The felled trees have been replanted but it will take many years for the shadow to reign supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, the interior of the pine forest has suffered less damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is remembered by a monument by Dario Franceschini placed in the main part<\/p>\n\n\n\n
