Let's know Forte dei marmi is a post that I wanted to dedicated

to this beautiful town

It has made space in the history of the Versilia that hase begun

with via di Marina trhough which they move in the 16th century

the precious marbles useful to Michelangelo and Giambologna

to create thei masterpiece

The Provincial Road built to replace the Via Marina and to

transport the marble from the Apuan Alps to the sea

wanted by Pope Leo X of Medici family is performed

by Donato Benti

Completed in 1518 it was also used for the transport

of iron coming from Isola D 'Elba from the Versilia iron works

We know Forte dei Marmi only as a tourist resort frequented

by VIPs but with a military past
