Luni archeology and wine is certainly one of the Interesting itineraries
In a few hours in the open air and end the day a good wine.
Located in the Lunigiana which is northern part of Tuscany and also includes part of Liguria are two different locations.
The village is also known for being an ancient Roman city with a rich archaeolgical history
Lunigiana is a region characterized by a hilly and mountainous passage rich in history and culture with numerous medieval villages castles and historical sites
Itinerary
Roman colony about 2 km from the Magra river which flows through both Liguria and Tuscany.
Today it is a National Archeological Museum which houses finds recovered during excavations : ceramic glasses utensils statues. Outside we find the Great Temple dedicated to the great Goddess Moon Diana the forum and the Capitolium
There are museum areas where frescoes and mosaics that adorned the walls of the rich city homes are preserved
The Amphitheater is the heart of the visit where the shows took a place and is visible because it is preserved in many parts
Hills of Luni
At the foot of Lunigiana are the Hills of Luni between Liguria and Tuscany
Here we find the Hills of Luni Vermentino DOC wine where it is produced in the areas of La Spezia and Massa - Carrara
Characteristics : more or less intense straw yellow colour
intense characteristic fruity smell
harmonious dry flavour delicately almondy
